Ubuntu Certification Regression Tests

Introduction

Once an Ubuntu release has been completed and published, updates for the system are only released under certain circumstances and must follow a special procedure called a Stable Release Update (SRU).

The Ubuntu Certification team performs regression testing on certified hardware on a regular cadence to ensure and improve the quality of Ubuntu SRU kernels and point releases. Any regressions discovered do not affect existing certifications.

The regression tests are performed on the following Ubuntu releases:

  • Ubuntu Server

  • Ubuntu Desktop

  • Ubuntu Core

  • Real-time Ubuntu
